Westhoughton library

Brief description

The architects were Halsall, Tonge & Campbell. The library and Carnegie Hall was built next to the Town Hall – and its address is Library Street. The first librarian was J C Scott, who retired in 1943. 

Current status: Still open as a public library, run by Bolton Council (2020)
