Milton Road library, Cambridge

Brief description

Grant given by the Carnegie UK Trust.

The library closed in November 2017 and was demolished. Original news said there were plans to retain the facade. The new building contains a library and community rooms on the ground floor, with upper stories containing residential accommodation.

The new library opened in June 2019 (see link below). When they said facade….. all I can recognise is part of the stone door surround!
